First of all, please accept our heartfelt thanks for all of your kind messages of hope and prayers for Bob, his family and ours as well. I think the prayer chain circles the globe by now.
Bob is home from the hospital and appears to be recovering well from his surgery. The surgeon was not able to remove the tumor, just took biopsies because of the additional cancer that they found.
Bob has been out walking a little bit. Jane says he's over doing and should be resting more and that he still insists that he will be at the hunting shack come November. I don't doubt him, LOL, will take more than cancer and chemotherapy to keep him away from that buck he has his eye on...I am not a hunter, but I try to understand his passion for it as he will have to understand when I speak Quilting! I think for each hunting story told there should be a quilt story shared. What do you think? Fair enough, right? We remain hopeful and optimistic that medicine can turn this around. BTW, Bob was surprised and touched to hear of all the prayers that are going out on his behalf, he is very big on prayer and this especially pleases him. Quilters are awesome!
The new roof was completed just in time for an inch of rain and a welcome break from outdoor chores - painting! Was a real nice thunder booming stormy day that kept me inside, so naturally I found my way up to my sewing room. Picked up a WIP and made some progress. Always does my heart good to do some stitching. Hope all of you are sewing, quilting, stitching, running...whatever brings JOY to your life.
Big Hugs,
PS: D' and Dan, can't thank you enough for all help provided. You took up the heavy lifting when we truly needed you to.
