I pass by this church pretty much every time I head out for a walk. As Tom and I approached this parking area on Thanksgiving day we thought this was something we had not seen before and found it to be an interesting nature show.
This cotton candy like spun snow was formed as the winds blew across this parking area. The photo below shows the snow rolling into a ball as it is blown about. Was it the wind or happy ghosts at play? Looks like a footprintless soul was rolling balls to make a snowman. Tonight we admired the Moon, Venus and Jupiter...isn't there a song about this alignment?

That concludes my nature show for this week. Wish I had a Super Camera to more clearly capture those stars! Some things are just meant to be enjoyed in the moment, I have a clear picture stored in my mind.

Kim, thanks for sharing the planet pictures. Pretty impressive, huh? I can't see a thing in our sky.
ReplyDeleteHow funny....
ReplyDeletedown in Australia we got a happy face. The moon was angled so that the face was smiling.
You got the grumpy face.
The kids and I raced out to see it and it was amazing.
OMG what wonderful snowballs...I've never seen anything like that in my life. Awesome. I did the same thing with my camera...but that picture is in my head forever...it was just beautiful.

ReplyDeleteThanks for these wonders of Nature.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen snow do this before! But this morning I saw some inexplicable tracks like your snowballs (or ghosts) are leaving. Maybe my ghost took the snowball home with him/her.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I love those snowballs! They are adorable!! I want those ghosts to come and visit, if and when we get some snow.
ReplyDeleteI seen the planets last night. It was splendid!!!
Funny how we get the opposite!
